SAN ANTONIO -- Since 2007, more than 95,000 registered sex offenders have been removed from social websites like Facebook. Because of such high numbers, a local state representative wants to make sure you know who is asking to be your friend on social websites.
Democrat Trey Martinez-Fischer has pre-filled a bill for the upcoming legislative session that would require convicted sex offenders in Texas to make sure their crime is prominently displayed in their Facebook profiles.
