It wasn’t Anthony Weiner this time.
Adam Kuhn, the chief of staff to Republican Rep. Steve Stivers, resigned Tuesday after an ex, who also happens to be a former actor in the adult film industry, posted a photo of his penis to her Twitter account.
Perhaps the only good news is that, unlike Weiner, Stivers is single, according to the New York Daily News.
“Congressman Stivers accepted Adam Kuhn’s resignation today,” said Courtney Whetstone, a Stivers spokeswoman, according to Politico, the first news outlet to report on Kuhn’s resignation. “The office is not commenting on his personal life.”
Kuhn offered his own explanation in a statement to Politico.
“Over the weekend, I was the victim of an attack on Twitter from a woman I had a relationship with in my personal life,” Kuhn explained. “I realize and apologize I had used poor judgement in my personal life regarding this relationship. The woman who posted this has reached out to me to apologize.”
According to Politico, Kuhn, who had an annual salary of $130,000, was instrumental in getting Stivers elected in 2010.
Former adult film actress Jennifer Roubenes Allbaugh tweeted at least one penis pic to Stivers’ Twitter account. “Ruby,” as she is called in her films, confirmed to Politico that she authored the tweet. ..Source.. by Aaron Sims
