Detroit police say a woman stuck a screwdriver into the right eye of a would-be rapist after he abducted her at gun point, ripped off her clothes and started burning her with a blowtorch.
WXYZ-TV and The Detroit News say the attack happened about 7 a.m. Wednesday on the city's west side.
The 23-year-old woman says she was walking from a gas station when the man came behind her and put a gun to her head.
She says he forced her into a car before attacking her. Police say she's hospitalized in stable condition.
Police say they believe he's a serial rapist who also assaulted and burned two women in July.
Police describe the suspect as black, about 6-foot-2-inches, about 185 pounds and in his early to mid-20s. ..Source.. by Daily Reporter
