Man charged with possession of child pornography after neighbor finds images in discarded cell phone

The moral here is simple, don't think because you throw something in the trash it cannot be traced back to you. Here we see child porn but there could have been other personal info on that memory card, so you must -physically- destroy anything you intend to trash before you discard it.

LAKELAND, Florida — A Florida man has been arrested after deputies say a neighbor found a cell phone memory card containing child pornography images in his trash.

Twenty-two-year-old Michael Allen Wright of Lakeland has been charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography.

Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies say several bags of Wright's belongings were discarded in front of a residence on Nov. 25.

A neighbor asked the homeowner if she could collect the items and was granted permission.

A day later, deputies say Wright asked for his belongings back. Most were returned.

On Nov. 30, investigators say the neighbor discovered a broken cell phone in one of the bags she had forgotten to return. She placed the phone's memory card in her own phone and discovered the images. ..Source.. by The Republic
