Michigan school board stands behind teachers who supported pedophile teacher, now victim’s family attacked

8-21-2013 Michigan:

The West Branch-Rose City Area School Board has made a decision to not fire the teachers who stood alongside convicted pedophile, their co-worker who molested an eighth grader.

“We believe the letters written by the teachers may be protected under First Amendment rights and that any disciplinary action will subject us to expensive, and potentially lengthy, lawsuits,” board President Jack Money read in a statement announcing the decision.

The Janczewski Family was supported by hundreds of parents calling for these teachers to be excluded from the classroom after their heinous support and statements victimizing Neal Erickson who molested a 13-year-old boy.

“Neal has plead (sic) guilty for his one criminal offense but he is not a predator,” Harriet Coe reportedly wrote. “This was an isolated incident. He understands the severity of his action and is sincere in his desire to make amends…”

Both parents have appeared on the Glenn Beck radio show this week discussing how they are now being terrorized.

“At one thirty in the morning on a Saturday, I was awoken to a bomb sound going off,” John Janczewski said during his emotional interview. “I went to the window to find my garage was on fire and engulfed in flames, my camper and the side of my house…If I wouldn’t have woken up, we could’ve all died.”

The family also had the letters “YWP” and “ITY” spray painted on the side of their house, which Janczewski thinks mean “you will pay” and “I told you.”

“They put at the bottom of their letters that there was no harm done to our son, he’s a straight‑A student,” Lori Janczewski said on Tuesday’s show. “I can’t live with that,” she said. “They had no idea. And how dare they…”

She added that they “didn’t even listen” to what her 16-year-old daughter had to say, but during Erickson’s sentencing, a number of teachers and a member of the school board “walked past” them and went to sit with Erickson’s wife, without saying a word. ..Source.. by Kaye Wonderhouse
