6-22-2012 North Carolina:
A federal inmate from South Carolina has pleaded guilty in North Carolina to plotting to kill an FBI agent who helped put him in prison.
Fifty-eight-year-old James Paul Lukinoff of Gaston, S.C., pleaded guilty Wednesday to retaliating against a federal official.
Lukinoff was convicted in 2007 of traveling from his home to Virginia to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex. In reality, he had been chatting online with a federal agent posing as a teenager.
Lukinoff is being held at the federal prison in Butner. Prosecutors say Lukinoff asked relatives to store his .30-caliber pistol and obtain an illegal silencer so he could track down and kill the FBI agent upon his release in 2015.
Lukinoff now faces an additional 10 years in prison. ..Source..
