Supplemental Guideline Comment Period has ENDED

7-14-2010 Washington DC:

The time for comments is over, now we wait to see what comes out from the SMART Office. Generally it takes about 30-90 days or so (my guess), for them to sort out all the information that has been submitted to them.

Also, they have to input whatever comments they received in the mails, after which those will be available online as well. That may take some time for them to complete.

Then they must decide what they are going to do, after merging proposed and submitted, and new thoughts resulting from what folks submitted, they will publish their Final Supplemental Guidelines in the Federal Register.

However, you can read the comments online at the following link:
http://www.regulations.gov/search/Regs/home.html#docketDetail?R=OJP-2010-0001

Folks can read all about what has transpired over the past 60 days by clicking HERE. Just ignore the "Where to post comments" at the end of that page as the time frame for comments is over.

Hopefully everything that has been submitted will result in changes helpful, or no more detrimental, than the way things are today.

Have a great day & a better tomorrow.
