Murphy doesn't care what Bruning says

The ultimate decision rendered in Nebraska cannot be anything but a disaster because of all the bad blood between judge and lawyers, and the main issue of a judge trying to control everyone in the world (not permitting state judges to rule with their opinions allowed by the Adam Walsh Act) sex offenders will suffer. This case needs to be assigned to another judge, public comments clearly show why!
1-22-2010 Nebraska:

Lincoln County District Court Judge John Murphy doesn’t care what Attorney General Jon Bruning thinks of him.

In a radio interview on KFAB radio in Omaha, Bruning called Murphy a “rabble-rouser” and said he was “out of control.”

Bruning’s comments stemmed from a injunction Murphy ordered in early January to temporarily halt provisions of a new Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. Murphy ordered the injunction after a challenge was filed in Lincoln County District Court.

Murphy said retired judge and former North Platte attorney Ron Ruff alerted him to Bruning’s criticisms about him.

Murphy ordered the injunction after a challenge to the new law was filed in Lincoln County.

“(Ruff) called me and said he got a call from someone who heard the interview,” Murphy said.

Murphy said he attitude towards Bruning is one of "fanatic indifference."

“I don’t care what he says,” Murphy said.

Murphy said it was evident that Bruning has had held a negative opinion of him for some time, but that he was unaware of it until recently.

The judge knew Bruning a little when Bruning was a state senator, but has not interacted with him since Bruning became Attorney General for the state of Nebraska.

Murphy told the Bulletin that there are problems with the new sex offender laws, specifically concerning double jeopardy and ex post facto issues.

“They’re trying to change the rules after everyone else is done playing,” he said. ..Source.. Ben Schwartz (North Platte Bulletin)
