FL- Sex Offender Arrest Attempt Turns Into Brawl

Group Of People Attack Police In Boynton Beach Apartment

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Officers tried to catch a suspected sex offender Friday night and ended up in the middle of a brawl.

It happened on Southwest First Street in Boynton Beach just after 11 p.m.

Officers said they saw a man resembling the description of a possible sex offender and followed him into a home. When they got there, they said, the suspect and several other people in the apartment began fighting with police.

Cristobol Mateo, Tomas Sebastian Lorenzo and Julio Mateo were all charged with battery, and six other residents of the apartment were charged with resisting arrest.

Authorities have not identified any of the men as the sex offender for whom they were originally looking. ..Source..
