CA- Jaycee Lee Dugard’s father wants to kill sex offender Phillip Garrido

Reading viewer comments on ly many news stories covering this case, it seems there are many who feel the same way. Whatever prison sentence he gets, I doubt he will make it, corrections will have to isolate him totally.

9-3-2009 California:

The biological father of Jaycee Lee Dugard, the girl who was kidnapped and held captive for 18 years, said he wants to kill her abductor, Phillip Garrido.

Kenneth Slayton told the Mirror that if he ever met Garrido, the convicted sex offender would be “begging for death.”

“When I think about what she went through it’s just horrible. I’d love to get my hands on Garrido and kill him. I hope he rots in jail.”

According to the Telegraph, Slayton had a brief relationship with Terry, Jaycee’s mother, almost thirty years ago. He said it ended quickly and he has never been in contact with Jaycee, who he’s sure is his biological daughter.

Jaycee’s mother later married Carl Probyn, who became the girl’s stepfather and has been representing the family in the media.

Garrido and his wife, Nancy, allegedly kidnapped Jaycee in 1991 at a school bus stop in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. She bore two of Garrido’s children during her lengthy captivity. The Garridos have pleaded not guilty to 29 counts of rape, kidnapping, and false imprisonment. ..Source.. by Cindy Adams

This is indeed a tragedy, However, Killing Garrido makes us no better. The man obviously has very deep rooted issues that likely stem far back in his own childhood. It takes a person(s) who is NOT IN THEIR "RIGHT" MIND to commit this sort of crime. I personally pray that something may be done to introduce Mr. Garrido to a proper, correct, and truthful course of thought. As for Jaycee, the father, and other family members, I pray for an understanding that these abducters are obviously sick persons and that with this acknowledgement they may move forward toward the best possible future they may now possibly have. Nothing may be done to change what has been done, let's live today for a better tomorrow!
