8-25-2009 Michigan:
Mi-CURE's annual meeting will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009. We have invited Lynda Zeller, Health Services Administrator for the Michigan Department of Corrections to be our guest speaker. She has tentatively agreed to meet with us, pending final resolution of a scheduling issue.
Refreshments, meeting and greeting will begin at 9 a.m., with the program to begin at 9:30. Following Ms. Zeller's presentation, she has graciously agreed to answer questions that will be submitted in writing by our members. Following her presentation, we will have some time for additional socializing. The meeting will adjourn by noon.
If you are incarcerated, please encourage your family members to attend.
The meeting will be held at Spiritual Renaissance Ministries, 230 South Holmes Street (corner of Holmes & Prospect) in Lansing, MI. Directions are as follows:
1. Take I-496 to Pennsylvania St. exit.
2. Travel north on Pennsylvania about 4 blocks, over the railroad tracks to Kalamazoo Avenue.
3. Go East (right turn) on Kalamazoo for 3 blocks.
4. Go North (left turn) on Holmes for 1 block.
5. Turn left again and travel past the small white house behind the church to park in the vacant lot on your right.
