Anyone with a quarter of a brain can see they are trying to banish offenders, and if anyone reads the ex post facto clause, thats not allowed. There are lawyers and there are lawyers, some good and others went to sleep during law school!

COLONIE, N.Y. - An Albany suburb is considering limiting the number of sex offenders hotels and motels can house.
Officials say dozens of sex offenders are living in a strip of rundown hotels in Colonie, partly because various restrictions bar them from living in many other places.
A plan set to be introduced at Thursday's Town Board meeting would limit the number of sex offenders in any given hotel. The cap would be based partly on the hotel's size.
Town Supervisor Paula Mahan says the offenders absorb a lot of police resources, and officials are seeking a "reasonable solution."
Courts have struck down some other sex offender residency restrictions.
Lawyer Terence Kindlon has challenged some of those laws. He questions whether the Colonie proposal would pass legal muster. ..Source.. by Newsday.com
