FORT MITCHELL, Ky. -- The son of registered sex offender is asking his high school to allow his mother to attend graduation ceremonies.
Alex Dinkel says his mother deserves to be with him when he graduates from Covington Catholic on May 19. Jeni Lee Dinkel pleaded guilty in 2007 to one count of third-degree rape for having sex with one of her son’s classmates. The Kentucky Enquirer reports that the classmate no longer attends the school. Dinkel served a 60-day sentence and is on probation.
School officials told her in a letter last week that she would be arrested if she tries to attend.
Alex Dinkel and his father, former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Tom Dinkel, pleaded publicly with the school at a news conference Tuesday. The pair say their Catholic faith stresses forgiveness. ..News Source.. by WLKY.com
