From the Justice Policy Institute on the Adam Walsh Act

9-10-2008 National:

Three brilliant pieces of public policy work produced by the Justice Policy Institute.

Fact Sheets Examine Impact of Sex Offender Registries

Factsheet: Youth Who Commit Sex Offenses

Factsheet: The Negative Impact of Registries on Youth

Factsheet: What Will It Cost States to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry and Notification Act?

Note: The third Factsheet concludes "Given the enormous fiscal costs of implementing SORNA, coupled with the lack of evidence that registries and notification make communities safer, states should think carefully before committing to comply with SORNA." ..Source.. Justice Policy Institute

That Factsheet on the costs is something the States are not addressing. They don't want the public to know.

My gut instinct is that they will start proposing laws mandating a huge fee for RSOs to help offset the costs.

RSO's alone will never be able to support this outrageous and thoughtless legislated registry simply because they cannot find suitable jobs to support their own families let alone themselves.

It's not the perceived notion of danger to the public purported by inflated numbers and erroneous data; thank you congress and elected officials! Think KARMA...

The true reason is they are hated and despised and if there was a possiblity to do so, each and every one would be sent to another planet without oxygen.

Afteall, folks would be providing their "civic duty"!

AWA:Questions

1. Why isn't Adam Walsh named in the "DECLARATION OF THE PURPOSE" (listed below)of the law in Adam Walsh's name. The Declaration of the purpose for this law is: JOHN WALSH being so jealous of Magen, Jacob, Jessica having Laws, he will manipulate and cheat AMERICA, to get a law in his son Adam's name. Shame on John Walsh!
2. It is stated, "Congress in this Act establishes a comprehensive national system for the registration of "those offenders." The meaning of "those offenders." encompasses 670,000+ offenders who did not commit the serious offenses of "those" offenders listed in their declaration. Shame on "THOSE" deceitful Congressmen!
3. 10 of the offenders listed committed murder, but, does not include people who murdered a child to be listed. WHY NOT?
4. John Walsh, admits on his "America's Most Wanted" site that his son Adam's body was never found. Was Adam Walsh sexually assaulted? Why is a law without a factual bases of a sexual offense was executed, only apply and pertain to citizens listed on the sex offender registry.
SHAME to our "System for Justice", a system that holds a citizen accountable, civilly, regulatory, administrable, or for any other excuse, for a crime they did not commit.
Shame to a President Bush who signed into law an Act that would deny, constitutional and human rights to 670,000 citizens, including thousands of youth being included in this law, when their offense is not a bases listed in, the declaration of the laws purpose.
