The Adam Walsh Act Final Guidelines Published

UPDATE: Additional files explaining other issues related to AWA have also been released.

7-1-2008 National:

The SMART Office has published the "Final Guidelines" for the Adam Walsh Act.

This was expected today, even though it was not published in the Federal Reporter as required by law, because so many jurisdictions made changes effective 7-1-2008.

By jurisdictions making laws effective 7-1-2008 claiming AWA as authority, and there being NO FINAL guidelines, that would leave open questions for the courts, hence the reason the SMART Office (Questionable title) published them this date.

Further, notice that AGAIN this has been done behind closed doors between the states and the SMART Office. This seems to be the way of this new administration.
