VA- Navy sailor arrested for soliciting sex online

MANASSAS PARK, VA. (WAVY.com) -- A Navy sailor stationed at Norfolk Naval Base was arrested Wednesday for soliciting sex online, according to Manassas Park police.

Police say 27-year-old Timothy Metschke of Hampton was caught during an online sting investigation.

A detective posing as a 14-year-old girl entered a Yahoo chat room on May 12. Metschke sent an instant message of a sexual nature to, who he thought, was a 14-year-old girl. Detectives say Metschke even sent pictures of his private parts and used a web cam to perform live.

Police seized computers, digital cameras and web cameras from Metschke's home.

Metschke is now being held in the Prince William Adult Detention Center without bond. He is expected in court on June 26. ..News Source.. by WAVY TV 10
