Lumpkin had already been taken to Iberia Medical Center for stab wounds, the release said.

Lumpkin later told detectives Broussard stabbed him several times as he slept after the two had consensual sex.

When questioned again about the rape allegations, Broussard “could not provide satisfactory answers to detectives,” the release said.

Deputies obtained a warrant for Broussard’s arrest after further investigation, the release said.

She was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail at 6 p.m. Thursday, according to booking reports. ..more.. by Jeff Moore, The Daily Iberian
