FL- Florida man caught in Kenner on-line sex predator sting

5-29-2008 Florida:

A Florida man has been arrested in a sex predator on-line sting run by the Kenner Police, according to a press release from the Kenner Police Department.

An undercover operation was started in December of 2007, when a Kenner detective went into an on-line chat room posing as a juvenile female from Kenner, according to Kenner police.

Using the screen name “brucevendryes,” Bruce Vendryes, 53, Hallandale Beach, Fla., allegedly contacted the Kenner detective – believing that the detective was a juvenile female – solicited the female to have sex and sent links to websites containing pornography, according to the Kenner police.

On May 13, Vendryes was arrested by members of the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and members of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office at his home in Hallandale Beach, according to the Kenner Police. He was extradicted to Kenner on May 24.

Vendryes has a prior arrest in Florida for obscenity, according to the Kenner police. ..News Source.. by WWL-TV
