I think that's all well and good that the ACLU is doing SOMETHING but my greater concern is where is the ACLU in the larger picture concerning registry and residency restrictions?
Sex offender laws are being passed everyday that hurt the entire society.
ACLU appears to be doing little to nothing when it comes to American Civil Liberties but more interested in helping battle field enemy combatants at Gitmo, rather than fighting for American citizens.
I have actually stopped donating to the ACLU and until I see a real change and real challenges to these draconian laws. I will not give another penny.

Agreed, everytime I ask them about this they say they need someone to sue before they can act.

Even so, they have tended to be silent while these laws are being proposed and debated.
